We hold an induction programme for all new students. This is intended to achieve several aims. Firstly, we explain very clearly the rules of the college regarding attendance procedures. Secondly, it gives each new student the chance to meet a member of our staff, who will assist with any queries. Thirdly, it gives new students the chance to make new friends immediately and to find out something about the area.
The college has a spacious kitchen/cafeteria which is an ideal social area for our students to relax in. Our vending machine is stocked with snacks and basic lunch options, but students are welcome to bring their own food from home or from the many restaurants and cafes in the area.
Apex College understand that not everyone can easily find a quiet moment at home. This is why we provide a study area where students can use desktop computers, with internet access, to conduct any research or complete any due assignments.
We have a dedicated careers adviser who monitors each students personal and professional progress throughout their time at the college. One to one support sessions are available upon request, however, workshops are held each term. These cover an array of topics from CV writing to work skills.
